PASSPORTIA LIMITED provides services for British passports and citizenship and German passports and citizenship.
Obtaining British or German citizenship can make life easier. By obtaining citizenship by ancestry you and your staff could avoid uncertainty and the hassle of visas and work permits.
We are located in the City of London between Bank and Mansion House stations, just west of the new Bloomberg building. We serve customers in any country. Our staff speak English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Urdu/Hindi and Arabic.
Our services are of an excellent standard and we have a very high satisfaction rating from past customers (see our Google reviews). Our work is normally done to a fixed price quotation. Corporate discounts are available.
We maintain a large library of laws, regulations, judgements, official policy documents and legal commentary to aid applications in borderline situations.
Our most popular services are listed below:
First Time British Passport
This service is for a person with a simple claim to British citizenship. We can usually obtain and prepare the application and the customer only has to check it and sign it off. We deal with queries from HM Passport Office and the Home Office.
First Time German Passport
This service is for a person with a simple claim to German citizenship (e.g. a parent issued with a German passport after 1995). We obtain documents in the UK, Ireland and Germany, and prepare the application. We assist in resolving queries from the German Consulate in any country. We have an excellent track record of overcoming obstacles raised by officials.
German Citizenship by Ancestry
Our distinct speciality is obtaining German citizenship through ancestry. The law affecting such claims is complicated and documentary evidence from Germany is often required. We obtain documents and prepare and an application with a detailed letter of representation. We deal with the German authorities directly.
We have obtained German citizenship for many people whose closest connection with Germany is a German-born grandparent or great-grandparent. Many of our cases involve an application for restoration where a Jewish ancestor lost German citizenship between 1933 and 1945.
This service can be highly advantageous for a person seeking an EEA passport post Brexit. The German passport is consistently rated the best in the world (The Economist, 2017; Henley Passport Index, 2018).
British Citizenship by Ancestry or Colonial Links
We also specialise in obtaining British citizenship through ancestry or colonial connections. The law affecting such claims is complicated. We use an expert system to explore all possible routes to a claim, some of which are quite obscure. This approach can be highly advantageous for a person who needs British citizenship quickly (naturalisation normally requires 4 to 6 years residence in the UK).
We have obtained British citizenship for many people whose closest connection with the UK was a grandparent or in some cases a great grandparent born or naturalised in the UK. We are willing to fight complex and unusual cases and challenge Home Office decisions. A recent client was granted citizenship following judicial review.
British Citizenship through UK Residence
We also prepare applications for British citizenship by naturalisation, usually based on residence in the UK. We are willing to pursue applications characterised by a fragmented immigration history or excess absences from the UK.
British Citizenship for Children born the UK
Our service includes proving British citizenship of children born in the UK to parents who were not British citizens and (where necessary) the registration of such children as British citizens.
When born in the UK to parents who are non-British nationals without EU permanent residence or indefinite leave to remain, a child often has no short-term prospect of British citizenship. Passportia can provide a plan to handle this, even before the birth. This can be particularly useful for EEA citizens.
British Citizenship for Children born to or adopted overseas by British Parents
Our service includes proving British citizenship of children born abroad and where necessary the registration of such children as British citizens, or in the births register in England or Scotland. There are lesser known routes known to us. Discretionary applications and adoptions can be incredibly difficult and need to be very well presented.
EEA Permanent Residence Cards
Our service includes proving the acquisition of the right of permanent residence in order to get an EEA permanent residence card. We are willing to take on cases with light or fragmented evidence of employment or residence.
